In appreciation of clay and its earth bodies, forming feathers has brought life to Michele Carroll's pieces.  A student of the Phoenix Center for the Arts and Arizona School of Fired Arts she has spent the last seven years finding her clay expression and voice.  Feathers have become a defining characteristic in a lot of her work.
